TO THE PERSON I WAS LAST YEAR

It's ok to have so many thoughts you have trouble walking straight. Thinking is one of the things you're best at. You've never been that good at remaining upright on the pavement anyway.

Even though you think a lot you should listen to what other people say. This needs some practice, but you will get better at it eventually. Believe it or not, other people can have some quite interesting things to say.

Invitation and burden are not synonyms. You will learn that you can benefit from saying yes when you're not sure whether you should accept or decline. 

With your student economy in mind, spending all your money on travels is not the most reasonable choice. But it's a whole lot of fun!

You have just as many feelings as thoughts. It's not easy for people around you  to keep up with everything that's going on inside your heart. Don't expect people to keep up with what's going on, you're having problems with that as well. This is probably one of your characteristics.

Don't be so hard on yourself when you destroy the color of your new shoes. Shoes can't be spotless forever (especially when treating them like you do).

Moving to London will not be as terrible as you think. Even though it won't be easy in the beginning you will get the hang of it.

​You will actually have a natural hair color most of the year. Congratulations on being almost dye free.

You don't lose your friends just because you don't see them as much as you'd like. Most of them will remember you even though it has been a while.

​You want to do everything. But if you try to do everything at once you'll just end up doing nothing. Live now, but save some of the experiences to later (it's not possible to get three educations, travel around the world, write a book, go on vacation and have a full time job all at once).

Don't hesitate to appreciate those you have in your life. Suddenly you will find that someone isn't there anymore.

Don't let the weekly lows get to you. You know things will be easier after organizing one of your drawers and going for a walk. But if you let it get you anyway, please remember to shower and brush your teeth. And put on some clean clothes.

Keep singing while lying on the grass in a crowded park. Keep singing to break the silence on sidewalks and car rides. Sing loudly in the shower. Don't give a fuck; dance when they play music in the stores. Don't worry if others don't like that your life is a musical.
